Clarinda’s sister Catherine Baker (1843-1922) married Eli Shugart Russell in 1858. Over the course of 30 years they had 15 children. Here are some notes written about our Russell cousins.

The following documents show that the Baker family thought they were entitled to a substantial fortune as heirs to a Baker ancestor’s land in Philadelphia. There was much work done by our Baker cousins to prove the case that went to trial in the late 1930s, but no money was ever recovered.
