- Pinkney’s ancestors settled primarily in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, and Illinois after immigrating from England and Scotland
- Mary Boone (1699-1774) was an aunt of Daniel Boone of pioneer fame
- The Veach line, starting with Pinkney’s mother Amanda, extends back to Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland
