James Klaisner
1900-1972

James “Jim” Klaisner was Lowell and Laurel’s uncle, the second son of grandparents Vaclav and Julia (Hoffman) Klaisner. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on 22 May 1900. He never married. James died 5 Apr 1972 in Vancouver, Washington.

In the 1940 and 1950 censuses, Jim Klaisner was boarding with Iva (Munsell) Hoffman, widow of his deceased uncle Stanley Hoffman (1879-1922). The following news clip describes Jim and Iva, along with her daughter Audrey (Hoffman) Vachal, visiting friends back in Scio, Oregon, where the Hoffmans first settled.

Death in 1972

James Klaisner passed away on 5 Apr 1972 in Vancouver, Washington at the age of 71. He is buried in Park Hill Cemetery in Vancouver.
